The WEED + GRUB Interview with Buck Angel

Los Angeles, August 16 2018

Cannabis and comedy podcast WEED + GRUB just released a fierce, funny interview with trans icon, activist and entrepreneur Buck Angel.

This searing interview with Buck hears the sex and cannabis industry legend holding forth on fate, standing up for marginalized people, being a "tranpa," and creating a brand-new space for whoever you really are. The activist and warrior gets deep about using cannabis as a sober person, on never giving up the fight for civil rights, and never, ever becoming complacent, despite perceived gains.

Buck on honesty, compassion and proving people wrong:

"Years of not giving up. That's my message to everyone: if you passionately feel you need to do this, do it. You owe nobody nothing. You only owe yourself to be truthful, honest, compassionate, and find out what you need to do to make change in this world. Everyone kept telling me no, but grrrrrrrrr I'm a pitbull. You cannot tell me no. They told me I couldn't be a man. Here I am today. Oh god, the shit people told me, and I was like, 'I have to prove you wrong.' Cannabis is not a drug. It is a medicine—and as a sober person, you can use cannabis."

The WEED + GRUB Interview with Tommy Chong

Los Angeles, August 8 2018

Cannabis and comedy podcast WEED + GRUB just released a freewheeling interview with the legendary Tommy Chong.

Celebrating 40 years of the stoner classic Up In Smoke, Tommy Chong sat down with Mike Glazer and Mary Jane Gibson, co-hosts of the hot new podcast WEED + GRUB, to share stories from behind the scenes of the iconic film, and get real about what’s changed—and what hasn’t—since 1978.

Chong doesn’t hold back on Trump and his White House administration and U.S. immigration policy. Trump being in power is a "divine move," says Chong. "You can't clean a swamp unless you know what the swamp animals look like. [Trump] has brought them all out."

He shares stories from his time in the Taft Correctional Institution. He dishes about sex, weed and fun while filming Up In Smoke. And best of all, he shares his advice for making everything better—both in comedy, and in life.
